Im wondering if anyone has moved to paperless statements or some type of electronic payment option.
We do utilize the client portal but Im still mailing out statements. Im looking for some type of electronic notification to clients stating they have received a bill and can go online to their client portal to make a payment. Open to all suggestions

You will need to have all of your practice’s clients set up and actively using the client portal for this option to work. If you have clients who say they do not want to go paperless, you will need to print their statements individually. This can become cumbersome if you have a large practice with thousands of patients, as we do as the statement report does not allow you to exclude any client that is selecting to receive statement notifications/paperless statements in the client portal.
Within the Client Portal Manager, you can check the option to send statement notifications. Note that this only notifies clients when statements are generated; if clients do not make payments, you will still need to manage this through your regular collections reports, just as you do now. We also do not use Procentive’s online payment option via the portal because the additional fees are significantly higher than what our current credit card vendor charges. Not sure if there are more features available when you use Procentive's integrated feature for online payments.
I have previously requested that Procentive consider adding a feature that would exclude clients who elect to go paperless from the print statements report. Unfortunately, they declined this request, which is disappointing, as it would provide meaningful cost and time savings for all practices using Procentive.
